The Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification confirms your understanding of the Scrum framework, the responsibilities of the Scrum Master, and how to effectively apply Scrum principles in practice.
The PSM I certification is recognized across the industry as a demonstration of a solid understanding of Scrum. Holding the PSM I certification proves that you have a comprehensive grasp of Scrum as defined in the Scrum Guide and know how to apply it within Scrum Teams. PSM I holders use consistent terminology and approaches to Scrum. The cost of the PSM I exam is $200 USD per attempt, with test passwords remaining valid until used. For more details, see below.
Although attendance is not mandatory, there are training courses available to help you prepare for the exam and deepen your understanding of Scrum. Depending on your role, we highly recommend the Applying Professional Scrum or Professional Scrum Master course.

Many individuals successfully use the Google Translate Plugin to take the test in their native language. If you choose to use the Google Translate Plugin, you must follow the instructions for using it. While we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the translation, feedback from users has generally been positive.
The Professional Scrum Master™ I exam is also available in 简体中文 (Simplified Chinese) through www.scrum.org.cn.

You can take the **Professional Scrum** certification test regardless of whether you have attended a Scrum.org class. However, each Scrum.org training class provides a valuable learning experience and includes a free attempt at the related certification.

Through a series of Sprints, you will work as a Scrum Team to solve complex problems and gain practical insights into Scrum practices.
